Is LUA Music Studio really free?
Yes. No ads, no credits, and no subscriptions.
We do not reserve certain features for a separate PRO edition. All core features are available free of charge.
Which files can I analyze?
You can enter a YouTube URL or load common audio formats such as MP3, WAV, and M4A for analysis.
What features are available?
You can analyze the key, BPM, chord progression, and lyrics of a song to create a chord sheet.
You can also separate vocals and accompaniment to create a backing track or extract the vocal track on its own.
Is the program only for guitar players?
No. Besides guitar, LUA Music Studio can help with piano accompaniment and chord practice, as well as vocal practice.
For guitar, you can use chords, capo suggestions, and playing patterns. For piano, you can review chords and accompaniment patterns as you practice.
Backing tracks created with vocal removal can also be used for singing practice or recording covers.
Can I use it without much music knowledge?
Yes. We are building it so you can use it without knowing complicated music theory.
After analyzing a song, it organizes the chords, key, BPM, and lyrics into a format you can use to play on guitar or piano.
Can I use only vocal removal and backing tracks?
Yes. You can use the program even if you do not need sheet music.
After loading audio, you can use just vocal removal, backing track creation, and vocal track separation for instrument practice, vocal practice, or making covers.
Are automatic analysis results always accurate?
No. Automatic analysis can sometimes misidentify chords or lyrics.
LUA Music Studio lets you review and edit the results yourself, and we are continuing to improve its accuracy.
Is my analyzed audio stored on a server?
Our principle is to perform basic analysis on your own PC.
We are designing LUA Music Studio so that original audio is not permanently stored on its servers.
Why are additional files downloaded on first launch?
Local AI models are needed for accurate lyric and music analysis.
We plan to separate the installer from the analysis models so that the required models are downloaded only once, without needing to download them again for every app update.
Is Windows the only supported platform?
We are currently prioritizing development of the Windows version.
A macOS version and a mobile practice app are also planned. Development progress will be shared in Update Note.
Which languages are supported? Will more languages be added?
LUA Music Studio and this website support Korean, English, German, Spanish and Japanese.
The second-phase languages, German, Spanish and Japanese, are now available. Update notes appear in Korean when Korean is selected and in English for all other languages.
We will continue adding more languages to make LUA Music Studio accessible to more people.
Can I analyze any music on YouTube?
LUA Music Studio provides analysis tools, but it does not grant you the rights to use the content itself.
We recommend using only music that you created yourself or content that you are authorized to use, after confirming the applicable copyright and usage terms.
By importing content into LUA Music Studio, you confirm that you have the necessary rights or permission to analyze and transform that content.
You are responsible for how you use any generated content.
Why ask for donations if the program is free?
The program is free, but model distribution, download traffic, update servers, development, and maintenance still have costs.
